.......Conshohocken Borough in Montgomery County (Montco) to assist with a working mult-alarm apartment building fire. With a mixed crew of three 42 (Cedar Top) personnel and six 70 personnel, TL70 and Command 70 left station at 2000hrs for the 36 mile trek to Lower Providence Fire Company (LPFC) , Montgomery County staging area. Apparatus at LPFC totaled 4 Aerials, 7 Engines and 3 Rescues from Berks, Lehigh and Montgomery Counties. After 1 1/2 hours, units from LPFC staging relocated 13 miles to Conshohocken borough on Washington Street and reported to the Marriott Hotel for further instructions. At the Marroitt, the LPFC staged units were combined with other staged units to make up Task Force #2; consisting of 9 Engines, 5 Aerials and 4 Rescues. After roughly 1 hour of staging, Task Force #2 reported to the forward staging area adjacent to the fire scene. At approx. 0030hrs on Thursday 8/15 assignments were given for salvage and overhaul; assigned shift was from 0100hrs until 0600hrs. Staffed with two, TL70 set up on the C/D corner for aerial master stream operations, and supplied by Lehigh County Engine 2611 (Tri-Clover Fire Co.) flowed over 157,000 gallons over a 5 hour period. Remaining personnel reported to the center courtyard to be assigned interior salvage and overhaul, in addition to pet search and rescue. Crews from Task Force #2 located and rescued one unharmed dog which was turned over to SPCA care. At approxiamtely 0600 hrs, all Task Force #2 units were relieved by Task Force #3, secured their equipment and reported back to the staging area for PAR (Personnel Accountability Report) and Rehab. TL70 left the fire scene at 0715hrs for the 46 mile return to quarters, and was placed availible with BCCC at 0830hrs. In the days end approx. 86 fire departments responded and operated at the scene with a total of 126 peices of apparatus.
