The Grill Fire Co. would like to ask for the assistance of Cumru Township residents with clearing snow from around fire hydrants.  With the recent 36+" of snow from the past 2 storms as well as all of the plowing being done, most fire hydrants are under many feet of snow.  During an emergency, precious time is lost while firefighters try to find, and then dig out, the fire hydrants.  We ask all residences to clear a 3' area around the fire hydrant in front of your residence.  This activity could save your neighbors house or your own home.
