The Grill Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer fire company located in Cumru Township, Berks County. The fire company provides emergency and non-emergency fire and rescue services with its volunteer staff of roughly 25 volunteers 365 days a year. The fire company also responds to calls for assistance through mutual aid agreements in Kenhorst, Mohnton, Shillington Boroughs, Brecknock, Robeson and Exeter Townships and elsewhere as needed.

2008 Year End Totals
Grill Fire Company ended the 2008 year with a total of 244 emergency runs. The most active Officer was Deputy Chief L. Hoffert with 170 calls and the most active Firefighter was K. Nelson with 136 calls.
At 0543hrs; Co 70, Rescue 2 (Reiffton Fire) and Engine 67 (Shillington Fire) were dispatched to I176 northbound between the Rt. 724 exit and the Rt. 422 exit for a multiple vehicle accident with entrapment.
Company 70 was dispatched at 0750hrs to Lakewood Dr. and Gulf Stream Dr., in the Flying Hills Complex, for a MVA with 1 male driver unconscious......
2008 Christmas Tree Sales
Begining Nov. 28th the Grill Fire Company will be selling Christmas Trees for the 17th year in a row. Feel free to stop by at 739 Mt. View Road, 1 block off of Rt. 724 for all your Chirstmas tree needs. Any size tree can be obtained so do not hesitate to ask for that special tree. We will also have an assortment of wreaths on hand for your selection. We will be open weekdays 4pm to 8pm and on the weekends from 9am to 7pm until all the trees are sold. Stop by and help with one of the companies largest fundraiser for the year. We look forward to your support!
